Overview
Vibe Tutor is an educational app from Vibe Tech LLC. It helps users study, manage assignments, use optional AI tutoring features, and access optional audio features such as internet radio. This Privacy Policy explains how Vibe Tutor accesses, stores, uses, and shares data.
Vibe Tutor is intended for teens ages 13 to 17 and is not directed to children under 13.
Who We Are
- Developer: Vibe Tech LLC
- App: Vibe Tutor (
com.vibetech.tutor) - Privacy Contact: freshwaterbruce2@gmail.com
Data We Access, Collect, Use, and Share
Data stored locally on your device
Vibe Tutor stores educational and app data locally on your device. Depending on platform, this may be stored in local browser storage, app storage, or SQLite databases.
- homework and assignment entries
- progress and learning-session records
- rewards, achievements, and points
- schedules, preferences, and parent-control settings
- chat history saved locally in the app
- local export files you choose to create
Data sent to our backend and service providers
When you use networked features, Vibe Tutor sends limited data off-device.
- chat prompts and related conversation context when you use AI chat or tutoring features
- homework transcript text when you use voice homework entry and choose to send the resulting transcript for parsing
- temporary session tokens used to authorize app requests
- pseudonymous analytics and operational event data, such as feature events, model usage metrics, and request timing
- radio-stream request information needed to fetch or proxy audio streams
Microphone and voice input
If you choose to use voice input, Vibe Tutor may request microphone access. On supported platforms, microphone audio may first be processed by your browser, operating system, or speech-recognition provider to create transcript text. Vibe Tutor then uses that transcript text to help structure homework details. Typed input remains available if you do not want to use voice input.
Files and storage access
On some platforms, Vibe Tutor may request media or file-storage access for user-initiated local export, sync, or audio-related features. These permissions are optional and feature-specific.
Third Parties We Share Data With
Vibe Tutor shares data only as needed to provide app features.
- AI providers, including Google Gemini and OpenRouter
- audio and radio providers, such as Jamendo and radio-stream hosts
- hosting and infrastructure providers that run the app backend and related services
We do not sell personal data.
Data We Do Not Intentionally Collect as Account Identity
Vibe Tutor does not require account registration to use core features. We do not intentionally require users to provide:
- full name
- email address for account creation
- phone number
- precise device location
- contacts
- SMS or call logs
How We Use Data
- provide tutoring, homework, and study-support features
- save progress, preferences, and local settings
- support optional voice-entry workflows
- support optional radio and streaming features
- maintain app security, session management, and abuse prevention
- troubleshoot reliability and improve feature quality
Retention
- Local device data: remains on your device until you delete it, uninstall the app, clear app storage, or use in-app data-clearing tools.
- Session tokens: are temporary and expire automatically.
- Backend operational logs and analytics events: may be retained for limited operational, debugging, and reliability purposes.
- AI provider handling: prompts and responses sent to third-party AI providers may be retained and processed under those providers' own terms and privacy policies.
Vibe Tutor does not maintain long-term user account profiles for general app usage.
Deletion and User Controls
You can delete local Vibe Tutor data from the app through Settings -> Data Management -> Clear All Data when that option is available on your platform.
- decline optional microphone use
- avoid optional AI features
- avoid optional radio and streaming features
- remove the app and its local storage from your device
Because Vibe Tutor generally does not require user accounts, deletion requests are primarily handled through device-side data removal rather than account-based deletion workflows.
Security
- HTTPS/TLS for supported network communications
- temporary session tokens for backend access
- in-app controls for sensitive settings
- rate limiting and content-safety controls on backend AI endpoints
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International and Third-Party Processing
If you use AI, radio, or hosted backend features, your data may be processed by third-party services that operate in different jurisdictions. Those providers' terms and privacy policies may also apply.
Age Scope
Vibe Tutor is intended for teens ages 13 to 17 and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the app, contact us at freshwaterbruce2@gmail.com so we can review the issue.
